What DocsPivot is, who it's for, and how to begin.
DocsPivot is an online document analyzer and humanizer. It helps you understand and improve Word, PDF, PowerPoint, and Excel files, as well as any text you work on in its writing tools.
Upload a file, choose the page, slide, or sheet you want to work on, and get instant statistics, readability and quality insights, plus tools such as a paraphraser, grammar checker, AI humanizer, and summarizer — all in one workspace.
Anyone who works with documents and wants them to be clearer, stronger, and ready to share. Our users include:
It takes four simple steps:
Yes. A free account is required to upload and analyze documents. This keeps your documents tied to you and lets you come back to them from your dashboard at any time.
You can browse our pricing, product, and policy pages without signing in.
Yes. Every product suite includes a free Starter plan so you can try the analyzers with no payment details required. Paid plans unlock more analysis models, higher limits, longer storage, branded reports, and priority support.
No. DocsPivot runs entirely in your web browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. We recommend the latest version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari for the best experience.
Supported formats, size limits, and import options.
Each analyzer is built for a specific format:
Older binary formats can't be read reliably yet. For the best results, open the file in Microsoft Office (or Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides) and save it as .docx, .pptx, or .xlsx, then upload the new copy. If you upload an older file, we'll show a message explaining how to convert it.
You can upload files up to 100 MB each, across every analyzer. The word, page, slide, and row allowances for each plan are listed on the plan cards on our pricing page.
Not yet — PDFs need selectable text. If your PDF is a scan, run it through an OCR tool first (for example Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, or Google Drive's "Open with Google Docs"), save the result, and upload that version.
Yes. On any upload page, choose Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, sign in to that service, and pick your file. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides are converted to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint automatically.
The picker only shares the file you select with DocsPivot — we don't browse the rest of your cloud storage.
Yes. Once a document is open in the Word editor or the AI Suite, you can edit or paste text directly into the workspace and run any writing tool on it — useful for quick paragraphs, emails, or drafts.
Working on one section at a time keeps analysis fast and the results focused and easy to act on. You can switch to another page, slide, or sheet whenever you like. Long Word documents without page breaks are split into pages of roughly 400 words.
What each tool does and how to read the results.
The Word Analyzer reviews your document across eight views — Overview, Writing, AI, SEO, Originality, Structure, Insights, and Reports. You also get live word, character (with and without spaces), and sentence counts as you edit.
The editor includes a full writing toolkit:
Each one is tailored to its format:
The AI Humanizer rewrites text so it reads more naturally — varying sentence rhythm, smoothing robotic phrasing, and improving flow — while keeping your meaning.
Please note that no tool can guarantee that rewritten content will pass every AI-detection service. Always review the output and make sure it reflects your own work and meets your institution's or client's rules.
The AI Detector gives an estimated probability that text was machine-generated, with a clear label from "Likely human-written" to "Likely AI-generated". It's a helpful indicator, not proof — use it as guidance alongside your own judgement, and never as the only basis for academic or disciplinary decisions.
The Plagiarism Checker highlights repeated and near-duplicate sentences within your document, and compares your text against any reference passages you add. It's ideal for catching accidental reuse and checking that quoted material is properly cited before you submit.
Yes. The Paraphraser lets you choose an output language from more than 150 languages, or detect the source language automatically. Separately, the Preferred Language bar at the top of the site translates the website interface itself.
Our tools are automated, so results may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate. Always review suggestions before using them, especially for academic, legal, financial, or other important documents. DocsPivot results are not professional advice.
Downloading results and keeping track of your work.
Depending on the tool, you can download:
Yes. Use "Save page" in the editor to store your edited text as a new version in your account — your original file always stays unchanged. All your uploads appear on your dashboard so you can reopen or download them later.
AI Suite run history is kept in your browser on the device you used.
Your dashboard gives you quick upload shortcuts for every analyzer, an overview of your documents (total, processed, and processing), your current plan, and a list of recent documents you can reopen or download.
